This year's January transfer window has so far proved to be a highly-beneficial one for Liverpool with new arrivals Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho swiftly making their mark.

So we took to the streets around Anfield to gauge fans' thoughts on whether the current transfer window set-up is the best.

FIFA regulations state that, generally, there should be two windows; a longer one at a maximum of 12 weeks in the break between two seasons and a shorter one in the middle of a season.

The current system used in England, that of a summer and winter window, was first introduced in the 2002-03 season.

Prior to that transfers could be made at any time during the campaign.

And we asked fans if they preferred the new or the old way - and asked them if they'd make any further amendments.
