Liverpool U18s battled from two goals behind to record an impressive 3-2 victory at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, with Seyi Ojo striking the late winner.

Steve Cooper's youngsters dominated the opening stages but entered the half-time break 1-0 behind and conceded a second within a minute of the restart.

But half-time substitute Kristoffer Peterson reduced the visitors' arrears with a well-taken individual goal before Louis Robles brought the scores level after Daniel Cleary's headed knockdown.

The turnaround was completed for Cooper's side with 10 minutes left on the clock as Ojo found the back of the net with a left-footed effort from distance to secure three points.

The U18s are now on seven points from their opening four fixtures in phase two of the Barclays U18 Premier League - three points behind the leaders with two matches in hand.

Post-match, manager Cooper told Liverpoolfc.com: "We're really pleased with the performance, our passing and positional play was very good.

"We had four U16s playing and finished with an U15 playing so it was a very young team.

"It was harsh for us to be 2-0 down but the lads showed great attitude to recover and score three goals."

The Reds team was: Firth, Randall (Whelan), Hart, Cleary (Brewitt), Heaton, Burke (Peterson), O'Hanlon, Brannagan, Wilson, Ojo, Robles.
