Kop joins Pyramids in turning green
Some of the most iconic structures in the world are turning green this weekend to celebrate St Patrick's Day - including the Kop.
Niagara Falls, The London Eye, HMS Belfast, the Pyramids and Sydney Opera House are among the forty attractions that will adopt an emerald hue.
Liverpool are the only football club taking part in the synchronized celebration that has been organised by Tourism Ireland to coincide with March 17.

Niall Gibbons, chief executive of Tourism Ireland, said: "Our greening initiative is back and bigger than ever for this St Patrick's Day.
"We're inviting people from all over the world to join in our unique celebrations, putting smiles on even more faces across the globe as we showcase the wonderful experiences on offer from a visit to Ireland."
The outside of Anfield's famous Kop turned green on Friday evening and will stay that way until Sunday.
Manager Brendan Rodgers was born in Northern Ireland and was educated at St Patrick's College in Ballymena.
He said: "Coming from Northern Ireland means St Patrick's Day is very close to my heart. We have a huge fanbase right across Ireland and it's great to see our club being part of this weekend's celebrations."
The club is also planning special Irish-themed stadium tours led by legend John Aldridge - and Anfield's Boot Room Sports Cafe will have a special menu that includes Irish Coddle. Places are still available and can be booked at www.liverpoolfc.tc/tours.
