Does he have any footballing regrets? What's behind his upturn in form? And does he have a pneumatic drill he can lend out? These are just some of the questions followers of @LFC put to Stewart Downing recently in our latest Twitter chat.

We sat down with the winger at Melwood as he answered your queries. LFC TV Online subscribers can watch his responses in our clip - or you can read a full transcript of the Q&A below.

@xMGreen: Who is the best player you've ever played alongside and why? @LFC #LFC  #askdowning

I'd probably say Mark Viduka. Just his presence, his goals and all-round ability make him probably the best player I've played with.

Who's the best Liverpool player you've played with?

That's a hard one! Luis has been on fire since I've been here and there's Stevie. If I had to pick one I'd probably say Luis for his goals and how he makes things happen out of nothing. I'd probably say him at Liverpool.

@Will_JRogers: @LFC Can we make 4th next season? #askdowning

Certainly next season we've got one hell of a chance, yes. We've had some great results and I'm sure that if next season we add to what we already have here, we've got a great chance of getting that fourth - if not higher.

@lishyen: @LFC #askdowning one motto you live by.

Live each day like it's your last, I guess.

@Chateau_Nouveau: #AskDowning have you got a'I donI can lend? Need to break a concrete slab up in my back garden.

No, I'm sorry I don't have a pneumatic drill but if you need a hand I can come round and maybe help you.

Have you got any power tools?

I haven't, actually. The only thing I'm good at is hoovering.

So no good at DIY then, no?

No good at DIY, no, sorry!

@TomWatts_09: Who is the best player in the premier league at this moment in time? #askdowning

Well that's a tough one. I think we've probably got one here - Suarez must be up there. I think the three contenders for the Player of the Year at the moment are Bale, Van Persie and Suarez. They are all different types of players but all quality. I'll go for Suarez.

@firmanshant: @LFC 5 words about Liverpool! #askdowning

I think there are many words that can describe Liverpool. History, fans, stadium, club as a whole, the people.

@haharis: @LFC what song tops your ipod playlist right now? #askdowning

I quite like the Stereophonics. Before a game it's quite uplifting. Dakota - I'm quite into that song.

Does your iPod ever get played in the dressing room?

No. I'm not sure whose it is - it might be Pedro the masseur or Stevie gets his on with a few dance tunes. I'm down the list at the moment, so I'd better work my way up.

@Dan_Lovelady: #askdowning what's the most extravagant item you've bought?

Probably a car. A Range Rover. I like nice cars, so I'd probably say that - a Range Rover.

No flash clothes or anything like that?

No, I'll leave that to the younger lads - I'm getting too old for that now!

@kunallfc: @LFC  Can you match Daniel Sturridge's dance moves? #askdowning

That's a tricky one - I'm not too sure I've got that in the bag. It's quite an interesting dance, isn't it? I'll give him a run for his money, but I am not sure if I can match him.

What do the lads think of his dance moves in the dressing room?

I think we're all a bit surprised. I've not seen it before but apparently he does it quite often. I'm not bothered - as long as he scores goals he can do it for as long as he wants.

@NUFCStevo: #askdowning if I butter a cats back will it still land on its feet?

I'll say yes. I'm not really sure, so I'll just go for yes!

‏@kdLFC: @LFC who is the quickest player at #lfc since the arrival of sturridge #askdowning

I'm not really sure. If that's over five yards or long-distance, I think there are a few candidates. Jose's quite quick when he gets going and Studge is obviously quick off the mark. I think it would be a good race between four or five of them.

Are you in there?

I'd put myself in there, yeah. A dark horse...I might have a chance of winning, you never know.

Who is the slowest?

I think I'll have to go for Seb or Carra, maybe. They might not thank me for that, but you've got to be honest in this game, I think!

@SilVilla26: @LFC #AskDowning What's the best moment in your life so far?

That's quite a tricky one. You have many good moments in your life - winning trophies etcetera - and other things in your private life. I think on the football side, it's probably making your debut - that's for all the clubs I've played for and my England debut. That was a proud moment because obviously some players don't get the chance to do that, so I'd probably say that.

@kdLFC: @LFC have the lads been getting stuck into carra to delay his retirement? #lfc #askdowning

We get asked this quite often. No matter how much we pester him, Carra is one of those people that if he says something, he'll stick by it. The pleasing thing for him is probably playing at the moment and if that changes his mind, then let's hope so but if I were a betting man I'd say he'll probably stick to his decision.

He's going to go down as a real legend here, isn't he?

He is. Obviously he's been a one-club man and played here for a lot of years. Not only that, he's won massive amounts of trophies. He'll never be forgotten here and I'm sure there will be a job here somewhere along the line for him.

What was he like to play against before you came to Liverpool?

I played against Carra a few times when he was at right-back - nightmare! He'd kick you and let you know he was there. He is a typical English defender. They're hard to play against. He obviously then moved into centre-half and I didn't get that much chance [to play against him]. He's been a leader for years here and a top player. You don't become a regular at a club like this if you don't have ability.

@Coppin_LFC: @LFC #askdowning do you have any regrets in your footballing career?

I tend not to think back about regrets and that. Whatever has happened has happened. At each club I've been at I have tried my best. Villa fans might not thank me for coming here and the way it happened, but this is football and you've got to make the most of it. I'd like to think I've always given 100 per cent at the clubs I've played for, so I'd like to think I've got no regrets as well.

@iamsamnorman: #AskDowning who's your favourite member of One Direction? Mine's Alf.

Probably Harry. He's having some life at the minute, isn't he? He's getting all the headlines. He's a young lad enjoying himself, so good luck to him.

Have you got any One Direction on your iPod?

No, it's not my type of music! Credit to them, they're a good band and doing quite well, but they're not my favourite.

@JoeEyesRoberts: @LFC Have you ever thought about joining Twitter? #AskDowning

I did set an account up when it first became popular but I never really got into it and don't know how to use it properly, to be honest. My friends are on there and I can jump on there and have a look at the banter they're having. But I think personally, on Twitter you leave yourself open. You've seen with players over the past couple of years getting embroiled in arguments and I just think you don't need it. There's a lot to focus on in football and I just think it gets in the way.

So there will be no Stewart Downing official account anytime soon?

No...I may change my mind, but I can't see it.

@RachelsHeadband: @LiverpoolFC  #AskDowning Do you still fancy yourself as a bit of a DJ??

I just like to do it in my spare time for something to do. I did it when I was younger in a couple of clubs and bars and I enjoyed it. It was something different. As I've gotten older, I tend to just do it in my spare time at home. I've got other things to do in my spare time now, but it is good, it's enjoyable and something I'll always do.

How did you get into it?

Just through my friends. A lot of them do it and play in bars and clubs. I was always a little bit bored in the afternoons after training when everyone was at work. I thought I am going to have to learn something or do something and they said to me, why don't you learn DJing? I thought, 'Why not?' and gave it a go. It was hard at first, but patience paid off, I stuck by it and I enjoyed it.

Are you available for hire?

Yeah...at a good rate I am. Negotiable!

@hyolinee: @LFC why did u choose number 19? #askdowning

When I was at Middlesbrough when I first started, I was 34 and then I went to 17. A player came in and asked if he could have 17 - I think it was Michael Ricketts - so I let him have it and got stuck with 19. I got into the team, kept playing and it's been quite a lucky number for me, so I just stuck with it. I've had it a few times with England, but at Villa it was different as I had six, which was a bit of a strange one but it seemed to work for me. I'm not superstitious in anyway and when I came here, I asked for 11 but Maxi had already been promised that, so that was fair enough. 19 was available so I thought I've had it in the past and I'll take it again.

@thombellamy: @LFC What made you improve so positivly during the past months? Congrats mate, greetings from #Chile #AskDowning

Thank you! I don't really know. Players get asked this - why does form go up and down? I think maybe the conversation I had with the manager gave me nothing to lose. Your career is over in a matter of years, so you've just got to enjoy it while you can - and that's certainly what I've been doing over the last couple of months. It seems to be getting the rewards, I've had some good performances, some good results for the team. If I can help along the way, that'd be good and I'm enjoying it.
