Tributes were today being paid to Hillsborough campaigner John Glover after he sadly passed away.

John died on Monday at home with his family following a battle with cancer.

He was a founding member of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign after his 20-year-old son Ian died in the 1989 tragedy.

The HJC's Sheila Coleman said: "I have known John since shortly after the disaster. From an early stage John was suspicious of how things were proceeding and became aware of the cover-up.

"He has been a driving force for the truth and justice to be revealed."

Everybody at Liverpool Football Club would like to pass on their condolences to John's friends and family at this time.
