A host of former Reds players and current Liverpool Ladies representatives will be in attendance on the opening day of the 2013 Grand National Festival to raise awareness of the Liverpool FC Foundation.

The stars will showcase their skills at the Parade Ring from 11am BST on Thursday, April 4 - just one of a range of activities which have been arranged at Aintree on behalf of the club's official charity.

The Liverpool FC Foundation has worked in the community at home and overseas for more than 20 years, providing opportunities which inspire positive change and build better futures.

Visitors on the day can have their photograph taken with the Champions League trophy, plus enter a raffle to win a pair of football boots signed by Foundation ambassador Lucas Leiva.

European Cup winners Phil Neal and Alan Kennedy are available to sign autographs at the Foundation marquee from 11.30am before joining John Aldridge and Olympic stars for a parade of sporting heroes.

Racegoers will also have the chance to take part in a deaf awareness session, which will be hosted by coaches from the Foundation's 'Football for All' programme.

The first day of the world-famous horse racing festival is packed with live entertainment, including appearances by Merseyside Olympians David Price and Natasha Jonas.
