Daughters make Hillsborough appeal
The daughters of a Liverpool supporter who died at Hillsborough have launched an appeal to trace two fans who helped carry him on a stretcher.
Amy McGlone was five years old and her sister Claire was two when their father, Alan, passed away at the tragedy on April 15, 1989.
The sisters have in their possession a picture which shows two supporters helping to carry Alan across the field.
Amy and Claire believe the people in the picture might hold crucial information about what happened to their father on the day of the disaster.
And they are now appealing for the fans who helped carry their dad to come forward.
"It would mean a lot to us if we could speak to the people in the picture," said Claire. "On this picture, we are not sure if our dad is still alive.
"Fans have come forward since we first made the appeal and, although they were not the ones in the picture, they have told us things that we did not already know.
"It's really important for us to speak to the people in this picture, so that we can find out more information. It would give us some peace of mind if we were able to do that."
