Late teenager's song to be released
A song written and recorded by a Liverpool teenager who died returning from a music festival last September will be posthumously released later this month.
Michael Molloy was one of three people to lose their lives following the tragic crash of a coach which was carrying passengers home from the Bestival event on the Isle of Wight.
Two other passengers were fatally hurt during the accident, while a further 50 people suffered serious injuries.
The 18-year-old, an aspiring musician, recorded the track - 'Rise and Fall' - with friend Alex Evans two months before his untimely death.
With support from Michael's family, the festival record label Sunday Best is releasing the track via download on April 30. The song can be pre-ordered now from iTunes.
Michael's brother, Joe, said: "It was Michael's ambition to have his music recognised by the wider world - he never fulfilled that ambition so we, his family, are fulfilling it for him.
"Michael's passion for music and his talent was one of the qualities which defined him and we want the rest of the world, through his music, to understand and appreciate in a small way just what a special human being he was."
His mother, Frances, added: "He was full of hopes and dreams. One of those dreams was for his talent to be recognised. The release of 'Rise and Fall' means that will now happen."
