Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is nearing a goal landmark last achieved for the club by Robbie Fowler – find out more with all of the vital statistics ahead of the Reds' trip to Reading.

Liverpool beat Reading 1-0 at Anfield earlier in the campaign, with Raheem Sterling scoring on 29 minutes to become the club's second youngest Barclays Premier League scorer after Michael Owen. Brad Jones made his first Premier League start for the Reds.

In their history the teams have met nine times in all competitions, with Liverpool winning six and Reading two.

The last time the teams met at the Madejski was in an FA Cup tie in January 2010 - the sides drew 1-1.

Liverpool's one league win at Reading came in April 2007, when Alvaro Arbeloa and Dirk Kuyt scored in a 2-1 victory.

Liverpool have scored in all nine previous meetings with Reading but have kept only two clean sheets themselves.

Only Manchester City (14) have kept more clean sheets in the top flight this season than Liverpool's 12.

The Reds' next away win will be their 150th in the Premier League.

A win for Liverpool today would see them equal their points tally for the whole of last season (52).

Suarez has scored 12 away goals in the Premier League this season - the most by any Liverpool player, beating the previous best of 10 by Michael Owen in 2002-03.

Suarez is currently on 22 league goals for the season. He could become only the 12th Liverpool player to score 25 in a league campaign and the first since Robbie Fowler in 1995-96.

The only Liverpool player to hit a hat-trick against Reading is Fernando Torres, who scored three in a 4-2 League Cup win at the Madejski Stadium in September 2007.

Only Manchester United and Tottenham (31 each) have scored more away league goals than Liverpool in the top flight.

The Reds have failed to score only twice in away league games this season. Those shut-outs came at West Brom on the opening day and at Swansea in November.

Steven Gerrard has scored on his last two visits to the Madejski Stadium.

Three of Jordan Henderson's four goals this season have come away from home - at Udinese, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Reading have conceded 31 goals in the league at home this season - only Wigan (32) have let in more on home soil.

They have conceded more goals than any other Premier League team this season - 63 - almost two goals per game on average.

10 of their 23 home goals this season have been scored after the 80th minute.

Reading go into this game having lost each of their last seven matches since beating Sunderland 2-1 on February 2  thanks to Jimmy Kebe's two goals.

Adam Le Fondre is their leading scorer with 10 league goals. His last six have all come as a substitute, though he has not scored in his last seven appearances.
