Jordan picks out Chelsea positives
The Reds can regard themselves as unlucky not to have beaten Chelsea on Sunday according to midfielder Jordan Henderson, who is enjoying the chance to express himself in a Liverpool shirt.
The 22-year-old has been selected to start each of the last four fixtures by Brendan Rodgers and featured in an advanced role for much of the Barclays Premier League clash with the Blues.
Speaking after Sunday's game, he told Liverpoolfc.com: "In the first half we were a little bit slow in our passing and made a few mistakes.
"But in the second half we came out and right from the kick-off we were at it - our passing was much sharper, we created a lot more chances and deserved the goals we got. Maybe in the second half we were a little bit unfortunate not to win.
"In the last few games we've been playing some good stuff and maybe not got the results that we've deserved.
"The second-half performance definitely showed what we're about and maybe we were a little bit unlucky not to win."
The manager acknowledged that two mistakes by his team caused the concession of both Chelsea goals at Anfield - and Henderson hopes his colleagues can eradicate such issues in their remaining four games of the season.
He added: "You need to make as few mistakes as possible in every game that you play, but I'm sure we'll put that right and keep working on that. There are a lot of positives to come out of that second-half performance.
"We've just got to take each game as it comes; we're looking to win every game that we play. We'll look forward to next week and make sure we're right at it from the start."
The England U21 international has now represented the Reds on 88 occasions, having established himself as an important member of Rodgers' squad. It's a role Henderson wants to continue.
"I enjoy playing anywhere so wherever I'm put, I'll enjoy it and give my all. When you're playing a run of games, it gives you a lot of confidence to go out and express yourself," said the former Sunderland player.
"Hopefully I can carry on doing that. There are a lot of good players here and I'm sure things will be rotated as normal."
