Rodgers and Raheem in Belfast
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and Raheem Sterling travelled to Belfast to attend the draw for the 2013 Northern Ireland Milk Cup on Tuesday.
The annual tournament - which will involve 44 teams from 14 countries - includes competitions at various youth levels, with the Reds set to enter teams for the Premier and Junior events this summer.
Northern Irishman Rodgers has historic links to the tournament, having represented Ballymena three times during the 1980s and later coached a Chelsea team at the cup.
Liverpool have lifted the trophy once before, in 1988. The reigning champions are Brazilian outfit Desportivo Brasil.
For the 2013 edition, the Reds have been drawn alongside Southampton, Cavan & Monaghan League and Co. Tyrone in the Junior section. In the Premier section, Liverpool will face Newcastle, O'Higgins FC and Co. Armagh.
"As a footballer, playing in the Milk Cup is one of the best experiences you'll ever have in your life," said Rodgers.
"It's about enjoyment and experience and that is what youth football is all about. It's a wonderful tournament, is still going strong after 21 years and I'm proud to be associated with it."
