Champions Marauders are penalty kings
Mersey Marauders lifted the Gay Football Supporters Network Cup after a tense penalty shoot-out victory over London Falcons on Sunday night.
The Liverpool FC-supported side played out an action-packed 3-3 draw in normal time at Hyde United's Ewan Fields.
The final then went to penalties and the Merseyside outfit held their nerve to emerge 3-2 winners after sudden death.
Our link with the Mersey Marauders followed work from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community representative of the LFC Supporters' Committee, Paul Amann.
The Marauders, who are in their first full season, clinched the Division Three title earlier this year and fired 22 goals en route to yesterday's GFSN Cup final.
