Members enjoy day of a lifetime
Official LFC members had the day of a lifetime when they trained and took part in a match with European Cup heroes Phil Neal and Alan Kennedy at the Academy recently.
A special competition was held to give members a unique chance to spend a day like a Liverpool player, and names were drawn out of a hat.
For the winners, fantasy became a reality as they enjoyed a day they will never forget. Neal and Kennedy gave them expert coaching and the highlight of the day was a full 11-a-side match.
Kennedy had the last laugh on his good pal Neal when the members team he managed to win 8-1!
Neal told Liverpoolfc.com: "These members will remember this day for the rest of their lives and it was an absolutely fantastic day."
One lucky member whose name came out of the hat, said: "I'd like to convey my appreciation for the fantastic experience I had at the coaching day.
"The staff and coaches were fantastic and having the European cup at the game was awesome.
"The insight from the coaches, the reality of events, experience form the legends Phil Neal and especially Alan Kennedy playing with me forcing him on to his right foot was mind blowing."
