Players and staff from both the Reds and Queens Park Rangers formed a guard of honour for the 35-year-old as he made his way onto the Anfield turf for one final time.
As Carragher emerged from the tunnel accompanied by his children, the Kop held aloft a mosaic that simply read 'JC 23'.
After the game, Ian Callaghan made a presentation to Carra while the man himself said a few words to the crowd.
