Liverpool are giving fans the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the club's first-team training ground, Melwood, for the first time ever.

Melwood has been the club's training ground for over 70 years and has seen many Reds greats craft some of the team's most memorable moments.

Fans will have the opportunity to see where the players train, work out, change and take up their seats in the press room, where Brendan Rodgers addresses the world's media on a weekly basis.

They will also have the opportunity to be photographed with the European Cup, which Liverpool won for the fifth time in 2005.

Reds boss Rodgers, said: "I think this is a great opportunity for all our fans to come and see first-hand where the players work. It's a fantastic set up and will be a great experience for our fans."

The tour will include the kit room, changing areas and the club's state-of-the-art gymnasium.

Andrew Parkinson, LFC's operation's director, said: "This is part of our objective to bring the club closer to our fans.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for people to experience what our players do on a daily basis. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Melwood."

After the tour, the experience finishes with a return trip to Anfield on the official Liverpool team bus. Fans can enjoy a mini-tour of the stadium and take the opportunity to sit in the world-famous Kop.

Tours run every day from Monday, May 27 to Sunday, June 16 and cost £35. For further information please go to www.liverpoolfc.com/melwood.
