Legends to mark Worcester finale
A Liverpool Legends XI will face Worcester City at the club's home, St George's Lane, to mark the final fixture before the ground closes after 108 years.
The Reds suffered a shock FA Cup defeat - perhaps their biggest ever - against the non-league outfit in January 1959, a factor in the departure of manager Phil Taylor and the hiring of a certain Bill Shankly later that year.
In the picture above, Bob Paisley can been seen inspecting the pitch at Worcester alongside Reds legend Billy Liddell.
Among the legends signed up to play the friendly, which will take place at 2pm BST on Sunday, June 2, are John Barnes, Don Hutchison, Alan Kennedy, Michael Thomas and Mark Wright.
Tickets are available from £5 for juniors and £10 for adults, and family tickets can be purchased. For more information, visit the Worcester City website>>
