'The truth about that Big Mac rumour'
Liverpoolfc.com recently sat down with Martin Skrtel at Melwood to put a variety of questions to the centre-back that had been submitted by fans.
We asked for supporters to submit queries for the Slovakian via this website as well as our Twitter and Facebook accounts.
They ranged from questions about his career on the pitch to life off the field and an urban legend about an order in a well-known fast food restaurant.
Here's what you asked Skrtel and what he had to say in full...
In the current squad, who would win an arm-wrestling contest?
It's difficult to say - probably Pepe or Daniel Agger.
What has been the high point of your career since you've been at Liverpool?
I think winning the Carling Cup because it was the first medal I won at Liverpool and I scored in the final, so it was that day.
Would you say that's the high point of your entire career, or are there other moments?
Yes, probably - together with being the champions in Russia.
What's your favourite film? Please say 'Fight Club'...
No, it's actually 'Gladiator' with Russell Crowe - I always enjoy watching that movie.
Do you watch it a lot?
I've seen it a few times but I don't always have time to watch movies now because of my son keeping me busy.
How do you feel about Jamie Carragher's decision to retire at the end of the season and what have you learned from him as a defender?
I have to say he helped me a lot in my career because when I came to Liverpool it was a benefit for me to train with players like him and Sami Hyypia - it was great for me. It was his decision to retire and we have to accept it and just wish him luck in his next career.
With all the tattoos you have, do they have any meaning to you?
Yes, I have the name of my son and my wife on my back. I've got my number - 37 - on my arm. Every single one means something to me.
How did it feel to captain the team against Blackburn last season?
It was a great feeling for me because to be captain for Liverpool is an honour for everyone in the dressing room. I enjoyed that and I hope it can happen again in the future.
Who is the best player you've ever played against and why?
I'd say Zinedine Zidane. I played against him once for the national team against France. I think he's one of the best players in the history of football. It was difficult to play against him but I enjoyed it.
How do you assess your form last season?
It could be better because it wasn't my best season and I know I made a few mistakes - but it happens in football. I'll do my best to improve and be better in the future.
What do you personally feel you need to do to improve as a player?
I'm 28 years old now and can say I'm experienced but you can always learn something new and that's what I try to do every single day in sessions. I try to improve my positional play and my game with the ball, so every single day I can improve something and that's what I try to do.
We know you have an official website, but have you ever considered joining Twitter?
Not really. I'm not a fan of social media, Facebook, Twitter. You never know what could happen in the future but I don't think I'll join Twitter or Facebook.
What goal would you consider your favourite that you have scored for Liverpool?
I have to say it was the one in the final of the Carling Cup. But the most beautiful one I scored was against Manchester City because it was a great goal.
If you could pick a five-a-side team from the current Liverpool squad, who would you pick and why?
I'll start with the 'keeper, so Peter Gulacsi because our countries are neighbours so I'll go for him. Then myself, Daniel Agger, Stevie and Luis Suarez.
Who is your best mate at Liverpool?
Maybe Peter Gulacsi and Daniel Agger but I have a good relationship with every single player in the squad and the atmosphere in the team is good, so I'm enjoying my stay here.
Is there anything you'd change about your career - past or present?
I don't think so because I think my career is going forward, because I started in Slovakia, then I moved to Russia, then I moved to England - so I don't think I'd change anything.
Is it true you listen to Slovakian rap music?
Yes, it is. There is a band - I know the guys and I enjoy listening to them. During the holidays, if I have time I always try to join the concert. So yes, I listen.
Have you got any of the lads at Melwood to listen to it?
No. No-one would enjoy that! I don't even try.
Is it true that you're so hard that you went into Burger King and ordered a Big Mac?
No, I've not yet! I've seen that banner - I think it was the Carling Cup final actually. It was funny - I had a laugh.
Do you feel Liverpool as a team have made definite signs of improvement this season?
I think so because we can see there were games where we played really well but just couldn't get the points because we couldn't score enough goals. But if you watch the games - we played against the teams from the top four, top five - those are games we dominated or it was 50-50 so I think we improved this season. I hope the results will be better in the future.
Which player at Melwood has the best shaven-headed hairstyle?
Probably Pepe!
Would you rather score the winning goal or keep a clean sheet?
I'm a defender - so I'll go for keeping the clean sheet.
Who is the best defender to have ever played the game?
I was always looking at players like Fabio Cannavaro, so I'd probably go for him.
