She's the Swedish ace who arrived in Liverpool via Stockholm and Sydney with the specific aim of helping Matt Beard's side reach the Champions League this season – and winger Louise Fors is eyeing derby glory on Tuesday night.

Liverpool Ladies face Everton at Marine FC's Arriva Stadium tomorrow and Fors is hoping the team can increase their lead at the top of the Women's Super League.

Kick-off in Crosby on Tuesday night is at 7.30pm BST and Fors knows just what a victory could mean for the Red half of Merseyside.

"Derby games are always special," Fors told Liverpoolfc.com.

"We drew 1-1 with them in the first game but that was our first game together. We are a better team now, we are in good form and we want to beat them.

"I know what to expect from this game. We went to the men's derby at Anfield, which for me was a big experience. When the crowd were singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' I got goosebumps."

Explaining why she made the move to Merseyside for the new season, Fors admits she was highly impressed by the plans to take Liverpool to the very top of the women's game.

She added: "I was originally playing in Sweden and I just felt I needed something new. I then went to Australia for three months to play for Sydney and during my time there Liverpool contacted my agent.

"When I saw the plan they had for the women's team at Liverpool I felt it was right for me.

"I'm here to win and help the team get into the women's Champions League.

"I like the manager's ideas for the team and the playing style suits me."

Liverpool have the chance to go seven points clear of Everton on Tuesday night and extend their lead at the top of the table over Bristol.

Fors said: "It's important we take each game as it comes, step by step, but it's our goal to try and win every game.

"We have done well so far and we just want to keep it going."
