'Skrtel's still one of Prem's best'
Jose Enrique has spoken of his admiration for Martin Skrtel and backed him to return to being one of the best defenders in the top-flight for Liverpool in 2013-14.
After being voted as the club's star man in 2011-12, the Slovakian international found himself on the bench for the second part of 2012-13, as Brendan Rodgers favoured the Jamie Carragher and Daniel Agger partnership.
However, Enrique insists Skrtel has the character to bounce back and get back to his very best form.
"Martin didn't have a great year and found himself on the bench but football can be like that sometimes," said Enrique.
"I had a tough time myself earlier in the season. Martin was player of the season the year before and we shouldn't forget that.
"I still think he's one of the top defenders in the Premier League."
