Fabio Borini remained on the bench as Italy booked their place in the semi-finals of the U21 European Championships with a thumping 4-0 win over Israel in Tel Aviv on Saturday night.

After starting in the opening 1-0 win over England in midweek, Liverpool's No.29 had to settle for a place on the bench as his country produced a superb display.

Israel were also reduced to 10 men.

Italy play again on Tuesday when they face Norway in their final group game at 5pm BST.
