Fabio Borini scored the goal that took Italy to the final of the European U21 Championships on Saturday night.

The Liverpool striker endured a difficult 2012-13 because of a long-term shoulder injury but his goal in the 78th minute against Holland in Israel meant his hard work in returning from injury paid off.

The 22-year-old received the ball inside the box, took a superb touch past his marker and finished clinically beyond the goalkeeper before leading wild celebrations on the touchline.

Italy U21s will now face Spain in Tuesday's final.
