Liverpool FC have today launched a new official Facebook page for supporters in Thailand.

The Reds have over 850,000 fans on the social media platform in Thailand and the new page, which went live in the early hours of Thursday morning, will be produced entirely in Thai-language by the club's new editorial team based in Bangkok.

The Thai Facebook launch is the third content imitative the club has launched in Thailand within the last eight months and forms part of a dedicated programme of digital engagement designed to bring the club closer to fans for whom English language is a barrier to entry.

In November 2012 the club began communicating with fans in Thai-language for the first time via the new @ThaiLFC Twitter feed. The account now has over 21,000 followers and has established itself as Liverpool's second most popular local-language international Twitter account.

On Monday, Liverpool unveiled an official Thai-language website - Thailand.liverpoolfc.com - which has already proved a massive success, with hundreds of thousands of fans in Thailand visiting the site to consume the latest news, local fan opinion, features, transfer gossip and exclusive videos.

With the first team set to travel to Thailand for the fourth time this July, fans will now be able to follow all the latest Liverpool news ahead of, during and after the tour on three new Thai-language media platforms.
