Wisdom on growing up, Toure and loans
Andre Wisdom is open to the idea of a loan spell away from the club if it helps him become a Liverpool regular in the long-term.
The 20-year-old made 19 first-team appearances during his breakthrough season in 2012-13 but with Glen Johnson and Jose Enrique currently occupying the full-back positions, and Martin Kelly now back from injury, earning a place in the Liverpool side won't be easy during the campaign ahead.
Newspaper speculation about a loan has surfaced, and while nothing has been decided, Brendan Rodgers has discussed the matter with Wisdom.
"The manager has told me to consider it and keep it in mind," said the England U21 international.
"With us not being in the Europa League, the opportunity of playing every week is going to slim down a bit.
"Going on loan is an option. I'm open to any idea that is positive."
Kelly's recovery from a significant anterior cruciate ligament injury - and Jon Flanagan's return from various spells in the treatment room - means there are four right-backs in the camp for the summer tour of Indonesia, Australia and Thailand.
"It's always a challenge but when you've got more competition it tends to make you try even harder than before," said Wisdom. "I've got an opportunity to get myself noticed in training.
"Last year I made my debut in the Europa League and then in the Premier League. Being in the first team means things have changed massively for me.
"The competition is a lot harder, the demands are a lot greater. But it's good and I'm enjoying it.
"I've gained experience, especially playing alongside Jamie Carragher. He taught me quite a bit in training and in games, both football-wise and how to handle yourself off the pitch.
"I've grown up a bit."
Carragher's retirement prompted Rodgers to negotiate a deal for Manchester City defender Kolo Toure - but does Wisdom believe he could do a job in the middle of the defence?
"Hopefully in the long term," he said. "It's hard for a young player to come in and try to play at centre-back in the Premier League. You need experience and so it takes time.
"Playing at full-back has given me an opportunity to introduce myself and get used to the competition."

Wisdom needed no educating on the qualities Toure will bring to Anfield, and the Ivorian hasn't disappointed in training.
Wisdom added: "Kolo Toure - it speaks for itself. He's played at Arsenal with the likes of Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Patrick Vieira - some great players who'll never be forgotten in football.
"I've been training with him for two weeks and already I can see his traits and learn something from him as well.
"He's a good player, he's vocal, and he's technically good. It's good to train with the likes of him, Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel."
Anyone who has spent time with Wisdom will have experienced a determined, focused character - traits that were instilled in him from an early age.
"I'm focused on what I'm doing and I don't let anything either off the pitch or inside football get in the way of that," he said.
"It's just the way I've been brought up - if you want something you've got to try and get it by any means. I just give my all for what I want.
"I know what the manager wants from me and of the team collectively and I try to do that when opportunities come and in training every day."
