The first team squad and staff may be gearing up for a clash with an Indonesia XI tonight, but the work of the Liverpool FC Foundation off the pitch continued in Jakarta on Saturday morning.

Coaches from the club's charity visited the Gocekz Project at the PPA Bambu Apus Social Development Centre,

The centre is one of seven in Jakarta and is coordinated by Premier Skills, a scheme funded by the British Council and the Premier League.

The campus the LFC Foundation visited specialises in teaching students life skills to survive as most of the students were street children or had been expelled from school due to bad behaviour. In total, the centre caters for 75 students both male and female.

The arrival of the Reds coaches was cause for great excitement amongst the children, who quickly challenged them to a few games of football.

Afterwards, the coaches visited classrooms within the orphanage to deliver lessons as part of the programme.

LFC international activity manager Forbes Duff said: "To visit the Social Development Centre as part of the Gocekz Project was a great experience for the Foundation coaches and myself.

"To be able to spend time with the students on the field and in the classroom was a real privilege.

"The Gocekz Project deliver some fantastic work and to be able to support them was a real bonus whilst in Jakarta."
