Agger: Toure class is invaluable
Daniel Agger believes the experience Kolo Toure will add to Liverpool's defensive ranks this season will prove invaluable.
The Reds moved to snap up the 32-year-old from Manchester City earlier this summer and his fellow centre-back feels the deal will prove to be a real coup for Brendan Rodgers.
Agger told Liverpoolfc.com: "He's been around so long, he knows what he is doing. He is a good guy, too.
"I haven't played with him much yet, but he's a class footballer. We've known that for a long time, so it's not a surprise.
"He is talking a lot on the pitch, he is well organised and he is physically on top. He is an all-round player. He's good.
"Experience is important for the team. We need it if we want to reach our goals."
Meanwhile, Agger admits he's been impressed by the form of Simon Mignolet since arriving at Anfield from Sunderland last month.
He said: "He's been impressive in training. He's a great shot stopper. We know him from Sunderland and he's been good."
