Sinclair inspires at college awards
Academy hot-shot Jerome Sinclair was special guest of the LFC Foundation College as they celebrated student success at their annual awards night at Anfield.
A fantastic evening was had by all - and Liverpool's youngest ever player was on hand to reward outstanding progress in the classroom, training sessions and matches.
Joe Brooks gained top honour when he was named outstanding student 2013, after making rapid progress with his A-Levels and gaining coaching work at the Liverpool FC Academy.
Jon Carney was also recognised for his work over the past year at the college, while Sean Solan and Chris Ramsden were voted by staff as best newcomers.
On the night, the U18 squad were presented with the British College League trophy and Lewis Jones received an award for his achievement in gaining a scholarship at North Carolina University.
Tom Owens, Danny Lomax, Liam Smith and Antony Sheppard scooped hard-earned accolades, while there was also prizes for Michael Barry, Tempany Carlson, Brandan O'Rourke and Jamie Scouller.
Sinclair said: "This is a fantastic foundation, giving teenagers the opportunity to not only play football and gain and education, but also pursue career opportunities such as coaching."
Amidst the celebrations, exciting plans for the college were outlined to students for the coming year, including the announcement that they will play at the Dallas Cup in 2014.
There will also be coaching opportunities for students on the Young Warriors programme, at the LFC Academy and International Soccer School - and an LFC Foundation girls' football college will be launched.
The LFC Foundation College already has 120 students in place for September as it continues to go from strength to strength.
