Jordon's pre-season progress report
Jordon Ibe is receiving plaudits from every corner during Liverpool's summer tour so far, but the 17-year-old is determined to remain level-headed as he attempts to build on his rapid progress.
The wide-man was handed a Reds debut on the final day of the Barclays Premier League season in May, and grasped the opportunity by providing an assist for the winning goal against Queens Park Rangers.
A goal in the side's first pre-season match of 2013-14 at Preston has been followed by excellent performances against an Indonesia XI last week and Melbourne Victory on Wednesday.
"I feel I'm doing okay. I'm trying to learn from the senior players and the new lads that have come in," Ibe told the Liverpool Echo.
"Hopefully I can take it into the new season and stay consistent.
"It was a big boost to make my first-team debut against Queens Park Rangers at Anfield on the final day of last season.
"To play in the Premier League, and on such a big occasion with it being Jamie Carragher's final match before retirement, was a great experience for me.
"I felt really good about it and hopefully I can take that into the new season."
