Special reception as Reds reach Thailand
The Liverpool squad has landed in Bangkok amid another incredible reception to begin the third and final leg of their summer pre-season tour in Thailand.
After signing off in Australia with a 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory on Wednesday, the Reds departed for the next stage of their trip at 2pm local time from Melbourne.
Following a nine-hour flight on their private plane, Brendan Rodgers, Steven Gerrard and co were welcomed by hundreds of passionate Reds as they touched the tarmac at around 9pm in Thailand.
Among the noisy crowd were dancers to honour the travellers with a traditional Thai performance, while the players and staff were presented with garlands in scenes reminiscent of their arrival in Indonesia last week.
The squad will now acclimatise themselves to the new surroundings at their hotel on Thursday evening, before pre-season training resumes once again tomorrow morning ahead of the third and final friendly of the tour.
Rodgers' charges will take on the Thailand national team at the Rajamangala Stadium on Sunday, July 28, aiming to preserve their unblemished record so far this summer.
