As part of a plan to make Anfield more accessible for families, Liverpool Football Club is making hundreds more junior matchday tickets available during the course of the new season.

In the past two years, the club has given careful consideration to ticket prices and pricing structures in consultation with the Supporters' Committee.

Earlier this year, the club announced it was reducing junior season ticket prices and offering a special £5 matchday ticket for selected Barclays Premier League fixtures.

Ian Ayre, the Reds' managing director, said: "These additional tickets are all part of our planned approach to make Anfield more accessible to families.

"During the past 12 months we have made a significant investment into our family facilities at Anfield to keep junior Reds entertained before and after the match.

"We hope that by reducing junior pricing and making more tickets available, we'll see even more of our youngest fans at Anfield."

These extra tickets will be available to all fans during the club's general sale, with a range of seats on offer around Anfield stadium. Numbers will be limited and sold on a first come, first serve basis.
