High-flying Liverpool Ladies hope for a memorable double scalp when they return to action on Saturday as they host Arsenal at the Halton Stadium.

Kick-off is at 7pm BST and Matt Beard's side couldn't have wished for a tougher return to Women's Super League action than a clash against the reigning champions.

Back in May, Beard's charges achieved one of their most notable results for many years when they beat Arsenal 4-0 at the Emirates.

The Gunners have two games in hand on Liverpool, so for the Reds who lead second placed Bristol Academy on goal difference it is a vital fixture.

You can show your support for Liverpool by heading down to the Halton Stadium on Saturday evening to cheer on the Ladies against the Gunners.

Adults are charged £5 for entry, while concessions are priced at £2.50. Season ticket holders and kids are granted free entry.

Three days after their opener, the league-leaders will contest the semi-final of the Continental Cup with Lincoln Ladies, before heading to the Stoke Gifford Stadium in an attempt to consolidate their position at the top of the table against Bristol.

Last week the squad was further strengthened with the additions of Sarah Gregorius, Ellie Stewart, Katie Zelem and Kate Longhurst.

Beard will also be looking to the likes of the prolific Natasha Dowie - who has scored 10 goals in 12 appearances - to continue her rich vein of form as the Ladies aim to secure silverware.
