Brendan Rodgers' latest acquisition started out his career at FC Gueugnon in his homeland, before moving to Portugal to play for Vitória and Porto.
Cissokho returned to France in 2009 to spend three years with Lyon - and then, at the start of the 2012-13 season, he made the switch to Valencia.
