LFC and Capital One donate 700 tickets
The Liverpool FC Foundation has teamed up with credit card company Capital One, title sponsor of the Capital One Cup, to donate 700 tickets to local charities for tonight's match against Notts County.
The tickets have been donated to charities who work in partnership with the Foundation, including The Anthony Walker Foundation and Alder Hey Children's Charity together with young people and adults from local community groups and the Foundation's own programmes.
As part of the sponsorship of the League Cup, Capital One has worked with a number of Clubs to allocate 350 tickets for the early rounds of the competition on a 'buy one, get one free' basis but the Liverpool FC Foundation kindly matched their contribution to donate a full 700 tickets free of charge.
Mark Haig from the Liverpool FC Foundation, said: "We work with a range of charities and community groups throughout the city and we are delighted to be able to contribute a further 350 tickets so we can give people who don't often get chance to see Liverpool playing at Anfield the opportunity to come along and support the team."
The match kicks-off at 7.45pm BST tonight and it's Liverpool first meeting with Notts County in 20 years.
