Opta stats from Liverpool's late 4-2 win over Notts County in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday show how Raheem Sterling helped his side going forward and defensively.
The 18-year-old grabbed the first goal of the game at Anfield after just four minutes of play, but as the underdogs hit back to take the game to extra-time, Sterling began to work with a more defensive focus.
He attempted eight tackles and won seven – more than any other player on the park. Meanwhile, throughout the 120 minutes he was on the pitch, no-one drew more fouls than the diminutive winger (six).
