Manchester United fan Dan Sprague offers the view from the opposition, explaining why David Moyes will be desperate for a win at Anfield and how United have more threats in their side than just Robin van Persie.

What have you made of David Moyes' start?

Pretty impressive. Swansea away was a fantastic performance. It was like Sir Alex never left. We also held firm against Chelsea. It's made me think - hang on a minute let's not be too pessimistic. Okay, Fergie has gone, but we're the league champions and still have a very good squad. We've also got quite a favourable draw in Europe, which is always helpful.

Which teams around the Premier League have impressed you so far?

Not surprisingly, Chelsea look very strong. I wasn't expecting Man City to lose at Cardiff, but I don't think you can read too much into it. Liverpool are also going well, and look better than they have in recent years. I've not seen too much of him, but I think your new goalie looks quite good.

Is it a case of stop Robin van Persie, stop Man Utd at the moment?

No, because other players have been playing very well too. Having said that, there's no denying that van Perfect is United's main threat. If we could get him and Wayne Rooney playing together as a long-term partnership, we'd be seriously dangerous.

What is going on with Rooney?

Who knows? I think he's staying now. Is he? He was quality against Chelsea. A typical Rooney 'street soccer' style performance. It made a lot of people who'd turned against him realise how important he is to us. I was pleased he got a good reception. You shouldn't boo your own players. I must say though, Mourinho is annoying me. He says that he can't talk about other clubs' players, that it's disrespectful etc. But every press conference I see, who's he's talking about... yes, Rooney! And yes, I know, that's a bit rich coming from a supporter of a club who've been hounding Everton and Barcelona all summer.

How will Moyes play it at the weekend?

I'm sure he won't want to lose. I assume Rooney will start again. I think Moyes will be feeling a bit more relaxed after a solid start to the season. If we were to beat you, I think people would be almost starting to think it's business as usual.

Weak links?

Not too many. The midfield needs strengthening. But people have been saying that since Roy Keane left, and we've done okay. Danny Welbeck is improving as a striker all the time, but he still has a tendency to give the ball away carelessly at times.

Prediction?

A difficult one to call. We've both made good starts and you haven't conceded in the league yet. 1-1.
