Luis Suarez struck a brace to help Uruguay to a 2-1 victory over Peru in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday morning.

The Liverpool striker opened the scoring from the penalty spot just before half-time in Lima.

Suarez then doubled Uruguay's advantage with a well-taken first-time finish on 67 minutes before Jefferson Farfan netted a late consolation for the hosts.

The result leaves the Uruguayans in fifth place in South American qualifying for Brazil 2014. [STORIFY_WIDGET]
