What have you made of your start to the season?

Defeat to Manchester United on the opening day of the season was a timely reminder of the superior class boasted by teams at the top of the division. Despite opening the campaign with successive league defeats, I've had no concern that we will struggle during this campaign and hopefully our win at The Hawthorns a fortnight ago can ignite our season. Whilst we are yet to perform to the standard we are capable of in the Premier League, we have progressed into the group stages of the Europa League with ease by playing the attractive football that we are renowned for.

Which teams have impressed you so far this season?

While Liverpool have made a notable start, the team I've been most impressed with is Stoke City. Mark Hughes is doing a tremendous job of ridding the club of its 'hoof ball' stigma by implementing new tactics and putting a lot of emphasis on his players getting the ball down and passing more frequently. The team has adapted to this new approach in impeccable fashion.

How much are you enjoying your European adventure?

I never want our European tour to end! Watching the Swans showcase their talents on the European stage has felt surreal. It's easy to forget how far the club has come in such a short space of time when you see us dominating fixtures in the Europa League as we have done in the early stages of the competition.

Thoughts on your boss?

As a player, Michael Laudrup was one of my heroes. As our manager, he is quickly adopting the same status. Once again, he seems to have unearthed some great talent and made all the right additions to the squad this summer to ensure we are able to maintain our Premier League threat as well as compete with the best in the Europa League.

How's Jonjo Shelvey settling in?

Excelling in his competitive debut against Malmo, I think he has been one of the stand-out performers in the opening weeks of the season. I was very pleased when we signed him as his potential was evident whilst at Liverpool. Despite a lot of competition for places in the Swansea midfield, I think we will give him the game time that he requires in order to develop. He offers something different to what we have in abundance from our other options and his ability to pick out a long-range pass is superb. Although his tackling is something that needs working on, that will undoubtedly come with maturity and playing time.

How will you approach this one?

Liverpool will come to the Liberty looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season and we will need to be cautious of the threat the likes of Daniel Sturridge provide. I think we'll hold a far superior resilience defensively than we did in our last home game, possibly with two holding midfielders to offer help to our back-four, whilst it is likely that Michu will start in his favoured position, behind loan striker Wilfred Bony.

Any weak links?

One of the best things about our side this season is that we have strength in depth throughout the squad. There is no area of the pitch where I feel we are lacking quality. Already this season, we have been able to rotate our squad effectively to accommodate the extra fixtures that we've had. We haven't been the most clinical with only three league goals so far, but I think that's something Laudrup will have worked on and I expect the Michu/Bony partnership to thrive over the course of the season.

Which Liverpool players are you most fearful of?

Daniel Sturridge. A natural goal-scorer and with five goals in his last goal games, he is undoubtedly one of the most fearsome strikers in the division. It's great to see him flourish having spent large periods of his career on the bench. The partnership he has built with Coutinho is lethal and the dynamic duo have between them the skill and finishing ability to worry the most colossal of defences.

Prediction?

I think it will be a close encounter. I'll go for 1-1.
