Toure rewarded by Ivory Coast recall
Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has been recalled to the Ivory Coast national squad for the first leg of their crucial World Cup qualifying play-off against Senegal next week.
The 32-year-old, who has impressed during his seven appearances since joining the Reds in the summer, has racked up more than a century of caps for the African heavyweights.
Having dominated their section in the previous stage of qualifying for next year's tournament in Brazil, the Ivorians take on Senegal in a two-legged tie - with the return scheduled for November 16.
The Liverpool No.4 has previously represented Ivory Coast at two World Cups, featuring twice at Germany 2006 and in three matches at the 2010 edition in South Africa.
