Liverpool's No.7 has scored 54 times so far. Only nine players have found the net more often in 100 appearances than the Uruguayan - but Ian Rush (56), Gordon Hodgson and Robbie Fowler (55 each) are all within reach. By comparison, the likes of Michael Owen, Kenny Dalglish and Ian St John all scored fewer.

Steven Gerrard scored his 99th league goal for the club in the Reds' last game against Crystal Palace and will become the 12th player to reach three figures for the club.

Last season, Liverpool won 6-0 at Newcastle - their biggest ever win at St James' Park.

Raheem Sterling scored his first goal for Liverpool on this weekend a year ago – it was the only goal of the win against Reading.

All three of his goals for the club have been scored at Anfield.

Sturridge has scored eight goals in his last five away league games and has 12 in his last dozen Premier League appearances for the Reds.

In the calendar year 2013, Suarez has scored 13 goals in 16 league appearances while Sturridge has netted 16 times in his 21 Premier League games.
