Video: Academy trio make special visit
Three of Liverpool's most promising U18 starlets made a trip to the Liverpool Heart and Chest hospital in Broadgreen to pay a special visit to terminally ill youngsters who suffer from cystic fibrosis.
Daniel Trickett-Smith, Nathan Burke and Connor Randall brought special gifts with them and amongst the children they met, they came across Jamie Fagan.
Jamie was delighted to meet the players and the lads were a real credit to the football club as they spent time with him and talked to him about Liverpool.
There is no cure for cystic fibrosis and the aim of the treatment at the hospital is to ease the symptoms and create comfortable surroundings for the patients.
Academy players no longer clean boots and baths of the senior team. Instead the club works hard to instil a sense of responsibility in them through community work, such as visits like this.
