Luis Suarez's 'phenomenal' work ethic makes the jobs of Liverpool's midfield players easier, according to Jordan Henderson.

The Uruguayan captured the headlines with a stunning hat-trick in Saturday's 4-1 Anfield win over West Bromwich Albion.

However, Henderson felt Suarez offered much more than just an attacking threat.

"I thought we defended really well and going forward we looked really threatening," he said.

"Both Stevie and myself could get forward more with Lucas as our protection. That was the idea and I was a bit disappointed not to get a goal. I had a good chance in the first half.

"Luis is a top player but his work rate is phenomenal as well which makes things a lot easier for us.

"He was outstanding and with him and Dan up front we have so much quality but they do a job for the team as well.

"Philippe Coutinho has started training so I'm sure he will be fit quite soon. That's a great boost for us and we're looking strong at the minute."
