Liverpool U18s extended their unbeaten streak to six matches with an impressive 3-1 victory away from home at Sunderland on Saturday.

Sheyi Ojo handed the young Reds a lead in the 10th minute, rounding the goalkeeper and coolly finishing.

In-form Jerome Sinclair then doubled the advantage before half-time, and an own goal by the hosts made it 3-0 within minutes of the second half kicking off.

Sunderland struck back with a late penalty but Neil Critchley's side held on for all three points.

The result means Liverpool leapfrog their opponents in the Barclays U18 Premier League standings.

Critchley's charges are back in action next Saturday, when they host Wolves.
