Martin Skrtel is determined to banish memories of his own-goal against Hull when Liverpool take on Norwich and West Ham at Anfield over the coming days.

The Slovakian was unfortunate to deflect Jake Livermore's strike beyond Simon Mignolet for the Tigers' first goal of the game at the KC Stadium on Sunday.

Then, with five minutes remaining in the match and the Reds trailing 2-1, the defender attempted to clear Tom Huddlestone's scuffed shot, but turned the ball into his own net.

However, Skrtel was quick to shift his focus to the visit of Chris Hughton's Canaries on Wednesday, when Brendan Rodgers' side will look to immediately return to winning ways.

"We wanted to grab all three points against Hull but unfortunately we didn't," the 28-year-old wrote on his official website.

"It was a very unlucky game for me as well because of my own-goal. But this is football and these things can happen. Now we must be fully focused because we have other games ahead of us."
