Ladies capture England U20 defender
Reigning Women's Super League champions Liverpool Ladies have strengthened their squad for the 2014 season with the signing of England U20 star Martha Harris.
Harris will bolster an already formidable back line led by skipper Gemma Bonner.
Martha, who came through the Lincoln City Centre of Excellence, won Lincoln Ladies Players' Player of the Year Award and Supporters' Player of the Year Award last season.
She also finished the campaign as Player of the Match in the Continental Cup final against Arsenal Ladies and is now relishing the prospect of making the move to Merseyside.
"I am delighted to be a Liverpool Ladies player and to be a part of such a successful team," said Martha. "This is a fantastic move for me and I am looking forward to starting training with Matt and the entire squad."
Manager Matt Beard added: "It's fantastic to have Martha in the team; she is a very talented, versatile player, who will add an extra dimension to the squad.
"Next season will be a challenging one as we fight to defend our title and it's important that we have quality players in the team who can perform to the high standard that the WSL league demands."
Meanwhile, Liverpool said a fond farewell to players who played a key role in last season's historic title success.
Whitney Engan, Sara Gregorius, Sarah Quantrill and Jess Holbrook have all moved on to pastures new, and goalkeeper Rachael Laws has returned to Sunderland Ladies after her loan spell came to an end.
