Pascoe keen to replicate Anfield form
Colin Pascoe insists Liverpool will not be daunted by a busy Christmas period packed with away games against top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Brendan Rodgers' side head into today's clash against Spurs in fifth place in the Barclays Premier League, three points clear of the North London outfit, who are currently sixth.
The Reds have won once on their travels during the last five top-flight away outings - and so assistant manager Pascoe feels it's time for Liverpool to reproduce their impressive Anfield form on the road.
"In the two games we have lost away from home, we have been disappointed with our performance," he told Liverpoolfc.com. "Apart from those two games, we have been playing well.
"We have belief and we are hard to beat. If we play well against these big teams there's a great possibility we won't lose the game."
Today's visit to White Hart Lane sees the Reds face a Spurs XI without Welsh attacker Gareth Bale, who played a major role in the 2-1 win over Liverpool in the capital last season.
Despite the loss of their star performer to Real Madrid, Pascoe believes Andre Villas-Boas' side have plenty of quality in their locker to trouble any defence.
"We are playing well and are really looking forward to the Tottenham game," he said. "They've bought a lot of players in the summer.
"There was a big gap to fill with Bale going and producing what he produced last season. But they have players like Roberto Soldado and Jermaine Defoe - they have good combinations in the wide areas and it will be a tough game."
The assistant boss also gave his view as to whether Liverpool being out of European competition this term had benefited them in the Premier League.
He said: "Yes, definitely. We had a lot of games last year and a lot of travelling to a lot of countries, but in saying that Liverpool should always be in Europe."
