Academy make Claire House donation
Four Liverpool Academy starlets paid a visit to Claire House children's hospice to donate items of official kit and help staff prepare for the busy festive period.
As part of the continued partnership between Liverpool FC and Claire House, the Reds' Academy has made a special donation to the charity's Norris Green branch.
Jerome Sinclair, Dharius Waldron, Pedro Chirivella and Andrew Firth were on hand to deliver the kit to the shop manager - and the young stars then got stuck in getting the items ready for sale.
It is hoped that the donation will encourage the local community to go in and purchase the current season's kit as Christmas gifts, most of which is brand-new and has not been worn.
Fans can buy new official tops and shorts as well as worn tops, shorts, tracksuit tops and bottoms.
U18s player Sinclair said: "I hope Reds fans head to the Claire House shop in Norris Green to buy our donated kit ahead of Christmas.
"It's important to support local charities such as Claire House, who provide such important care to local young people with life-limiting conditions."
Mike McCaughley, stock generation manager at Claire House, said: "It's been fantastic to receive all of the donated kit from the Liverpool FC Academy at such an important time of the year for our shops.
"Our branches across the north west provide vital funds to help us maintain the very best care to our children, young people and their families, so we hope Reds fans come along to our Norris Green store in Liverpool to grab a bargain for Christmas."
Claire House has a chain of charity shops across Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales, which sell a selection of goods, including clothes for all the family, accessories, books, DVDs, toys and bric-a-brac.
The shops are an essential way to help fundraise the £2.7million yearly cost to help the children's hospice continue providing the very best care to young people.
