For the second consecutive month Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has scooped the Reds' Goal of the Month prize, in association with EA SPORTS, for his unforgettable, long-range volley against Norwich City.

The prolific Uruguayan, who currently tops the Barclays Premier League scoring charts, fired 10 strikes during December - seven of which were included on our shortlist of contenders.

But it was his incredible opening effort past the Canaries on the evening of December 4 - a sublime rocket from 40 yards that flew into the top corner - which 47 per cent of supporters voted as the winner.

The No.7's third goal of four in a 5-1 victory over Norwich took second place in the fans' poll with 23 per cent, while Jon Flanagan's first strike for the club, at Tottenham Hotspur, completed the top three.

It was left for Suarez to round out the supporters' favourite five; in fourth was the 26-year-old's gravity-defying curler at home to Cardiff City, and his precision lob at White Hart Lane was fifth.
