Sheyi Ojo fired twice as Liverpool U18s produced a brilliant display to win 5-0 at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

The former MK Dons starlet produced two excellent finishes as Neil Critchley's side continued their impressive start to 2014.

Also on the mark for the young Reds were Dan Cleary, Sergi Canos and Harry Wilson with a penalty.

Three players from the U16 squad who recently travelled to the Far East were handed opportunities.

Nathan Sheron played the full 90 minutes at centre-half, while midfielder Matty Virtue also saw action and Andy Firth was given a run-out in goal.

Critchley told Liverpoolfc.com: "It's been a very good week for us and it was another pleasing performance.

"We played some excellent football and were 4-0 up at half-time, and then we controlled the second half as well."
