After the pair combined to rubber-stamp Liverpool's progress into the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday, strike partners Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez revealed how working in tandem has become second nature.

With Victor Moses having earned the Reds a half-time advantage against Bournemouth at the Goldsands Stadium, the duo nicknamed 'SAS' synchronised in the second period to seal the victory.

Suarez had dropped deep to collect possession and, in a matter of mere moments, delivered a slide-rule pass into his teammate which the No.15 controlled and planted into the back of the net from close range.

Kopites are becoming used to watching similar moves on a weekly basis, and afterwards the pair explained why the partnership - which has plundered 36 goals already in 2013-14 - is evolving so successfully.

"The secret is that all of the squad are playing together on the pitch this season. That is the most important thing," the Reds' No.7 told ITV.

"We know we can help the team on the pitch. If I look for Daniel and he is free, we know it's a big chance for us to score a goal."

Picking up the theme, Sturridge shared his viewpoint: "It is the runs he makes and the determination he has.

"When I have the ball at my feet, I always try to see where his run is because usually his run is towards the goal and he's looking to have a clear chance.

"It was unfortunate today that he didn't get on the scoresheet, because the goalkeeper had a good game.

"We just hope to help the team win the games; it's not important about Luis and I. It's about Liverpool and the boys, working as a team - everybody getting on the scoresheet and defending as a team.

"We played some good football. In the first half, we didn't really defend as well as we could have and we didn't put our stamp on the game. But, in the end, we worked hard and our quality showed and we won the game."

Victory on the south coast ensured that Brendan Rodgers' charges will be included in the fifth-round draw tomorrow, and Suarez considered the triumph to be of significant importance for the Reds.

"We knew a win today was important for the next phase of the FA Cup," added the Uruguayan, who celebrated his 27th birthday yesterday.

"We know when you play away in the FA Cup, it's a difficult game - because they were strong and played with their supporters, which is important for confidence."
