Video: McMahon's derby memories
He was the Blues midfielder that became a Kop legend and ahead of the Merseyside derby tonight, we caught up with Steve McMahon who gave us his big-game verdict.
McMahon played for the Blues when Ian Rush scored four goals in a 5-0 Goodison Park demolition job in 1982, but it was in a red shirt that his time on Merseyside is best remembered for.
With the void of Graeme Souness's departure to Italy still to be filled, Dalglish brought McMahon back to his Scouse roots from Aston Villa and the rest as they say is history as he graced the midfield and trophies galore filled the treasured Anfield cabinet.
Now working as a TV pundit in the Far East, we chatted to the 52-year-old ahead of the eagerly anticipated Anfield showdown to guage his views.
