Daniel Sturridge's sublime chip from distance against Everton in the Merseyside derby has been voted as Liverpool's Goal of the Month for January, in association with EA SPORTS.

After Luis Suarez scooped the November and December prize, it was his strike partner who took the plaudits for January - his wonderfully executed effort that looped over Tim Howard picked up 46 per cent of the total votes cast.

Suarez took second place in the fans' poll with his Kop end strike in the derby, which picked up 15 per cent, while the No.7's magnificent free-kick past Hull City completed the top three.

Steven Gerrard's header to unlock Everton came in fourth while Academy striker Daniel Trickett-Smith made the top five with his thunderous volley in the FA Youth Cup tie against Aston Villa.
